Traducción C

¿Dónde estás, Musa mía, que por tiempo te olvidas,
contarme todo aquello, que te da tanta fuerza?

¿O es qué gastas tu rabia en otro indigno canto,
dando sombra a tu fuerza y luz al vil sujeto?

Regresa, Musa ausente y con prisas redime,
con tus gentiles rimas el tiempo malgastado,
canta para el oído que aprecia lo que pones,
y da a tu pluma temas y a la vez maestría. 

¡Levanta, Musa vaga! Ve la faz de mi amor,
y si el Tiempo ha grabado en ella sus arrugas,
al verla, sé, satírica, con esa decadencia,
y haz que el daño del Tiempo se desprecie en el mundo.

Dale fama a mi amor, ante el afán del Tiempo,
y prevén su guadaña y su cuchillo corvo.
